Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing efficient, scalable, and environmentally benign chemical processes of synthetic intermediates and target compounds. Working within highly matrixed, multi-disciplinary teams, the successful candidate will lead synthetic investigations, process development and scale-up activities targeting novel OLED materials that are key components of state-of-the-art display technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Independently generate hypotheses, and / execute experimental work to prepare assigned targets.
Optimize synthetic processes and individual steps therein to improve overall the overall efficiency of synthesis.
Develop and apply crystallization, distillation, and/or other purification methods to isolate pure process intermediates or final products.
Establish in-process controls to result robust chemical processes.
Apply DoE and QbD methods for process optimization.
Apply PAT tools to design, analyze and control manufacturing processes.
Scale-up intermediates and final products up to multi-kilogram quantities.
Identify critical process parameters which affect critical quality attributes.
Clearly record experimental observations within the electronic notebook per published SOPs.
Provide oral and written updates to as requested
Characterize compounds with little to no supervision.
Attend all relevant safety training and follow published SOPs
Required Qualifications:
PhD in Chemistry
