Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer supports the Company’s Material Business at the UDC Chengdu site. Key activities involve inspection of incoming and outgoing product and other shipments to ensure conformance to quality and customer requirements. Role also manages logistics for outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery to customer, and supports other relevant Quality Assurance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure all quality and customer-specific requirements and specifications are followed, including packaging, labeling, and documentation, to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Coordinate logistics with shipment carriers and freight fowarders for orders and other shipments departing from the Chengdu site.
Work with team members to manage requirements in our online Q-EHS system.
Perform calibration of monitoring and measurement equipment with internal groups and 3rd party service providers.
Operate, maintain and calibrate certain product testing equipment.
Support our Integrated Management System program and participate in both internal and external audits for ISO 9001.
Collaborate and support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and special projects to achieve department objectives.
Assist in relevant personnel training.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with the major of business administration/international trading/Business English or Technical Engineering related
Strong English verbal and written communication skills as well as collaborative teamwork skills needed.
5+ years of Import/Export administration roles in MFG enterprise or laboratory will be preferred
Industrial experience in a technology environment (Quality-related role preferred)
Experience with computer applications such as MS Office and familiar with various internet software programs.
Dogged attention to detail and demonstrated track record are critical.
ISO 9001, Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma experience and/or interest are strong pluses.
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
